Question No plug wires?

Decided to do a tune up on the car. I went to autozone and got some plugs. They said they didn't have any plug wires. there computer wasn't even showing a part number.

I tried 2 other auto parts stores and the same thing.
No one offers a aftermarket replacement yet?

the 2.5 has coil packs. there are individual ignition coils on top of each spark plug. so there are no plug wires.

cool thanks

SO if they fail you will know cause the cylinder will be dead/ back fire

How do you remove the coil pack on top of the plug?

I swear between changing the oil and changing the headlight bulb this car is a PITA!!

i haven't taken one off a 2.5 yet, but the 2001+ 1.8t ones just sorta pull off. it might take a little work of they haven't been removed in awhile, but be careful, you don't want to crack them.

I got them. You have to release a clip on the wire harness and kinda finagle them off to then pull up on the coil pack

Not a beetle but same design
