Gas mileage - Christmas road trip

Thought some might be interested in the gas mileage I got with my '06 2.5. This was the first long road trip I've taken in this NB. ODO mileage before trip - a little over 10,000

Trip was traveling on Interstate 10 From San Antonio, TX to Pensacola, FL and back.

Departure day (2 fillups):

1st fillup - 28.38 mpg - all highway driving, rain all the way, A/C compressor off, speed about 75mph.

2nd fillup - 27.81 mpg - all highway driving, rain all the way, A/C compressor on part way (defrost) speed - 75mph


Return day (2 filllups):

1st fillup - 28.91mpg - all highway driving, mostly clear, some rain, A/C compressor off. speed 75mph

2nd fillup - 27.68mpg - mostly highway driving with a little combined, rain all the way, A/C compressor off 75mph


FYI, mileage is 23-24mpg for combined around town

Those numbers are pretty close to what I get.
