2.5 Exhaust tips

I've been cruizing the net looking for exhaust tips for my 06 Vert. I've read in many places that the SS tips that fit 99-05 will indeed fit an 2006 mufflers. I've also found a set of 06 Toureg tips that look great and look very similar to the new beetle tips. My question is. Has anyone tried mounting Toureg tips on thier bug. Have a great 4th all..

Yeah, what Turbokid asked and will they fit an '07 NBC? those are trick tips kid. I have a pair of tips I bought off of Ebay back in '07, still trying to get the darn things to fit. Need to do something with them as Christmas is too far off and I won't put up the tree now to hang the tips off of. Need to get info on those Toureg tips though.

Hmmm.... interesting. I have an '06 and I installed the VW SS tips made for the Beetle. The pipes are longer than the ones in the pics above. It would probably fit the Beetle muffler but I suspect the tips will not extend to the edge of the rear fascia let alone extend beyond it like the Beetle tips do.

The SS tips hang out quite a bit. If the Tourareg tip are the same diameter they would be about even with the rear bumper cover. I think they would look cool. I contacted a dealer today and the guy didn't know anything about the.. Maybe one of you guys dealer is more knowledgable. Here's the part number. ZVW-806-001-A These are suppose to be for the six cylinder ONLY. Either way I'm going to pit some tips on my Vertable. This time they will be tack welded on. Those SS tips are notorious for getting loose and falling off.

Jerry, I haven't heard anyone mention it, but did they change the muffler in 07? That could be the reason they don't fit right.

Well it WOULD be just my luck to have scored s/s tips for my '07 and then to find out they don't fit well be cause they are more than likely for an '06 or earlier.

I even cut off the flat bar on the top of the tips because they were fitting for ca-ca with them joined together. I'll give it one more stab and if they don't fit, I'll either put them on here or on the Christmas tree.
