Default Possible New Orger!

My stepsister has been bitten by the Beetle Bug. She has a serious case of NBAD! I wonder how that happened? But seriously, she is the one that introduced me to Vw back when I got my Honda. I've been a fan ever since and recently became an enthusiast! Well, now she is almost ready for a beetle of her own.

Unfortunately, there are a few complications. She has to drive an automatic because she has arthritis and it would be better for her to not have to shift gears. Sometimes, she even needs to hands to put a shift lever in park. It would be dangerous for her to drive a manual.

Well, combining that with what I know about Vw, that restricted her to newer model Beetles. "Ain't no 01M comin up in here!" Well, between the 2.5 and the 2.0, the 2.5 gets the nod because it more power and needs less maintenance.

So a 2.5 Automatic Beetle Hardtop. Anyone have any experiences they would like to share with theirs for her? She may or may not sign up on here, but just browsing the main photos on the org's homepage, she is a fan of quite a few beetles!

We're leaving as soon as I post this to go look at some today!

We bought Lily specifically because Llona needed the ease of the automatic for her arthritis. The 2.5/tiptronic combo is plenty powerful and responsive, easy (and fun) to drive, easy to maintain and clean and very safe. If she gets the chance to bring one into her life she will never regret it.

I know! Today when she was at the dealer and he brought the car around, it was a surprise! We went for a 2004 2.0 model and he brought around a 06 red vert with black leather. She hopped out her wheel chair and walked around the car just to see it and jumped inside ready to drive. We were all like ! This was the first time she really did any walking without the aid of crutches! She didn't even notice it until she sat down!

She was so happy to see that vert. She salesman gave her a really good price for it and everything! She is going back on Wednesday to press her luck to see if she can bring it home.

Tell her we have our fingers crossed for her. An '06 would do her very well. And a Salsa Red with black leather!
