On a 2006, do you know if I can use the Green CTS as a replacement? My moms car has been starting in the morning (happens on real cold mornings) and after 10-15 seconds after noticing the idle doesn't really go into a warm up mode, the blue coolant temp indicator starts flashing red... I'll cycle the car on/off and it'll remain blue until warm and operate as normal.

I'm having the same issue as well. I had a check engine light on and it was for code P3081 - engine temp too low. The dealer fixed it but I am not sure what they did? Changed the thermostat or the CTC? BUT, now I am having issues with the temp light flashing red in the mornings. Weird

Have you checked your coolant level?

Yeah, I just have a line that says minimum and then about an inch of gray lines above it but doesn't say "max". My coolant level is in that gray range, so I assumed that was OK?
