Default Cold start not always happening...?

So I know my NB is supposed to be doing the loud start up when I start my car when it's been sitting for awhile. But lately I've noticed it's not always happening. The RPMs would just stay in the 1k range and fluctuate a little, but not going any higher than maybe 1200-1500 rpms? I know it's supposed to shoot up to past 2k rpm at least for a few moments.

Anyone have any idea as to what may be influencing this? I'm contemplating on calling my dealership and have them look at it since my NB is under warrenty still, but I guess I'd like to see if anyone has any suggestions.

Thanks!

My 2009 has started to do the same thing on cold mornings. I will give the dealership a call to find out what is going on. I may call different dealerships to see how many different answers I get......

My wife noticed the same thing with her 2007 NB Convertible. Anyone know anything yet?
