Suggestion here...you might instead want to checkout the 3M product that will cover the ENTIRE front end of your bug. It's pricey, BUT clear. The problems that I have run in with using the bra...I had one on my 1978 VW Rabbit and it was a factory bra. First off, if it is going to rain, you NEED to remove the bra because of the moisture that will get between the bra and paint...not a good outcome; then IF you do NOT have the bra fastened tightly to the hood, the bra will (for a better word) flap against the hood and place small indentations in the paint on the hood; if you drive in an area where there is a lot of dust, you need to pull the bra as the dirt and dust will get between the bra and paint and scratch the hell out of painted surface.
Granted, bras look kewl, but can be a real hazard to your paint. With the 3M product on the front of my 2007 NBC, it covers the "entire" front bumper, hood half way up, equal distance with the front fenders, covers the headlamps, covers the front side of mirrors and I had it also installed in the rear where one has to slide their fingers to open the truck and also on the interior where the seat belt flaps with the wind against the body. Just thought you would like another option...oh, forgot to mention...this product is "clear" and the only thing you notice is the very faint lines of the product. Jerry |

I had a bad experience with carbras.com and wound up dealing with another company. That being said I've had it on my car a couple years now and I am careful about keeping it clean, etc. I don't even necessarily get a chance to remove it immediately after rain but I've noticed no damage.
I also have the 3m product on my door handles and trunk area and would definitely do that again! |
