Sorry to bring this old thread back, but several other threads reference it and I figured it would be good to keep all the beetle lifting info in one spot.

This weekend, my girlfriend and I are going to lift her beetle to do the retro wheel mod. I'm all set on where to support the car once it's up, but what's the best way to lift the entire car? I think I still have a hydraulic jack in the garage (haven't looked for it since I sold my problematic car).

Previously, I've lifted a small car by lifting the front with a hydraulic jack right in the front middle on the frame's cross-support. Once supported, the rear was lifted also on a cross-support. I don't know the belly of a new beetle as well, so I'm looking to you all for guidance on completely lifting and supporting a new beetle using one jack.

Thanks. We'll take pictures when all the moding is done!
