Default happened to me

This already happened to me "In some vehicles with automatic transmissions, a faulty brake light could work in tandem with the shift interlock to immobilize the vehicle and require towing, said VW spokesman Keith Price."
My 2002 would not come out of park, I think in November, I'll have to find the receipt. It was out of warranty so I had to pay for it. I just had it in last week and it was replaced again because of the recall. I am going to call VW and find out if they will reimburse for the repair from last year. Doubt it but worth a try.

I also have a 2003 and for some reason the key for my 2002 will pick up the signal for the 2003 and then it can open both cars. VW reporgrammed the 2002 but had to also reprogram the 2003 to get it to stop. Well it happened again. What's the deal?
