Being a used car how would I get recall and important info from Volkswagen. Do I need to sign anything or would this have all been submitted when I bought the car.
I messaged Volkswagen about 1 month ago when this problem was happening every now and again and I was told there are no recalls or campaigns for my 2002 model and I got the same response from the dealer even after reading about a recall sent out November last year!

We contacted our local dealership and they said that Australian complianced car were different to the rest of the world and overseas recalls did not apply....which is just bulldust.
What it boils down to is that there are not sufficient numbers sold in Australia so they just ignore us.
Interesting to note that on the Australian VW webpage they say the only NBs sold now are the 1.6 petrol (man or auto)and the TDi (man only) and the cabriolet.
