Excellent! I saw one at the dealer when I dropped my Beetle off the other day. the GLI fixes everything that bothered enthusiasts on the base-model Jetta.
Something I just thought, though. I'm driving a B6 Passat 2.0T this weekend (Alpha Driver program) and when you put it in "Sport" mode, it hauls. If the Jetta is heavier than the new Passat, does this mean that a Passat in Sport mode will out-accelerate a GLI?
Naturally, the
handling has got to be where the GLI will win everyone over, if it's anything like the adored-by-the-press MkV GTI.
