Yes folks! Its me again posting my latest acomplishment. I only just changed my fuel filter (at 94,363 miles ) using the above DIY writeup from vwvortex.com.

All that is needed is a little patience.

I must add some comments:

1. Jack up the car - things will be much easier if you can stick your head under there to see whats going on.

2. Unclip the cables that are in the way.

3. When removing the bracket around the filter, don't just loosen it... you have to take it off!

4. Remove the clip nearest to the rear tire FIRST (or the rear clip)! To get the front clip you have to genlty pull the whole filter down after you remove the rear clip to see where the little thing is to press down.

5. BE PATIENT... and gentle! It is not hard to do, it just takes a level head.

Should take under 15 mins.
didn't even jack my car up when i replaced mine good write up though
