I did this mod about a year ago and have just thought about posting this. I always got sick of the scratches, glare from the sun and dust collection on my stock dash. We all know it's quite massive and dust and scratches stick out like a sore thumb. I wanted to do something original, functional but not too ghetto. I ended up spraying all of these pieces with a stone texture from home depot and then just painting them flat black. The pictures do not accurately represent how it looks in person. In the pics there is a big contrast in color from the stock next to the textured pieces probably from my cameras flash. In real life it blends in perfectly. It solves all of my gripes and it is not too noticeable unless you are very perceptive.
