yea it sounds like this is the problem you are having if the switch is not turning the fan on at all, you have to take the center dash out, there are two main pieces to it, at the very top there is a piece that slides forward, you just have to push it kind of hard and it will slide out of place, then you have the remove the torx bolts that are around as well as the radio, have the dealer just pop it out for ya real quick takes like 4 seconds for them to release it, i think there are two bolts on top, two or four by the hazard switch, one under the piece that holds the bud vase, all you have to do there is pull that piece that holds it out, it just slides, and there are two in the radio bay i believe, once you take those out, it should slide off pretty easily, if not just take a look around they are pretty easy to locate if ya think about it for a minute, once you get the cover off, take off your faceplate from the a/c controller, if you see the middle control has a pin that is bent, then yes that is your problem if not, then you have something else possibly.

hope that helps i did that from memory hehe, my best suggestion would be to buy a repair book as well, i am on my second one, cause my trunk leaked, but those things are indespensible, and have saved my ass tons of money so far.
