Don't worry, I know. We (that is, my girlfriend and I) actually intend for it to be temporary, and will get it repainted again in a year or so. The car had to be painted anyway because it had bodywork done, so we figured we'd just get a cheap paint job now and a high-quality one later to save money (in the short term). We'll come out about even on costs (in the long term) if we wait 'till our painter is running a sale, and in the meantime we have a unique-looking car.

By the way, I do plan to try to wax the thing (once the paint cures in a month); that should protect it from fading some too. And yes, I also know that I need to be careful to make sure the wax doesn't make it look weird -- test in an inconspicuous area and all that...
