Nice bug, and great idea with the sound deadner install.
I'm also riding with the same 15" jetta wheels.
Did the swap b/c the stock 16" were killing me.
My suspension is totally shot, the springs clunk and boing all the time. Worst is the bone jarring jolt and rattle after all the pot holes here in the burgh.
Can the kyb/eibach setup handle heavy pot hole ridden roads and still ride soft/comfy/nonjarring?
Any suspension suggestions for someone with a broke wallet and almost broke spine?
Can't wait to hear about the improvement after the tt control arm install.

For most comfortable and low priced suspension I'll say go with stock. Make sure you replace all of the bushings, bearings and mounts on struts cause they make a hell of a difference when it comes to "clonking". I also replaced sway bar bushings and end links. They snap quickly if the road is bumpy and it's an easy and cheap DIY. I also replaced rear axle bushings. The old ones were so busted, we had to burn them out. This is going to be second set of control arms on my bug in 18 months, that's how bad the roads are here. My rear control arms bushings snap'd in half and riding is so harsh now that I am friking out when I need to go over smallest bump on the road. Feels like the whole bug will fall apart. I need to replace them like, yesterday and I don't think I'll be able to wait for a week or two to get the upgrade bushings from MJM autohous. I just spoke with my mechanic and gave him green light to go for a hunt on a new set of any control arms with new bushings so I can install them tonight.
KYB-AGX and Eiblbach Pro Kit work nice but it's far away from confy ride
