I have the older skid plate, and it is well worth it.
I take it off for the oil changes, it takes a whole extra 10 minutes or so. The remote oil valve is not a bad idea, but I'd rather just stick to the stock oil plug myself.

The new panzer plate looks good, however I like the fact that the older one I have is able to let air flow in/out of the engine area. It gets hot enough in there as it is.
