all that being said, and please keep in mind i DO know my stuff about dsm cars, i wouldn't ask over $3500 for it. well, unless you failed to mention that the motor has been rebuilt at sometime or a 6bolt found its way into it or it is in fact an awd...then well, $5500 isn't far off, and i stand corrected.

it's just that you're a new member, really have no history here, and i'm just looking out for our community.

now, if you would in fact take $3k-$3500...i could find a home for it in ct with a friend.
Ok, maybe you are just a douche with questions, so here are some answers to those questions / comments.

1.Anyone can see that this is far from stock. And the title of the post states GST, which is 2wd turbo. But I guess anyone that knows DSM's would already know that. But good job on correctly identifying the tranny. It is out of a 96 Galant. Your gold star is in the mail, wear it proudly. And class, why would that swap be a good thing. The Galant tranny has taller gearig and performs better on the highway. And I hate high gas prices, so every little bit helps. Also, I don't race this car so any small decline in off the line performance is no concern to me.

2. It has paint - read the details.

3. Regular maintainance has been performed. But anyone interested probably wouldn't take my word for it, and would want to see it for themselves. Upon inspection they would see a very clean 4g63 in great running condition.

4.Your personal preferences toward shavved doors is not protecting anyone. If you dn't like it, you have to option not to buy it. Isn't America great.

5. Once again, personal preference. If blue is not your color, see above.

6. Anyone who owns a 10 sec 1g should already know what crankwalk is. But for the rest of the class. Crankwalk can show up in any car, but was a problem in DSM's because of how soon it happened. Due to some faulty parts, a small percentage of eclipse owners experienced this early. Very early in fact, usually under 60,000 miles. Some owners needed rebuilds while under warrenty, while others were not as lucky. The problem was new owners had their cars go boom, and nobody likes that. To make things worse, Mitsubishi would not make a recall because not all engines were effected. The good thing for us now is that any eclipse over 60-80 tousand miles has had this problem dealt with already. That or it does not run. Many DSM fans swear by the 7 bolt (2g motor) and it is deserving of that. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

7. If you want a stock Eclipse for 3 grand, there is this thing online called Ebay. I suggest you go there.

Response to second post :

1. I fail to see how I'm the prick when you hyjacked my post with these retard comments. If you had questions then ask. Keep all unrelated comments to yourself. If you don't like the car, then move on. I can't make anyone buy this car. Anyone is welcome to check it out for themselves, and then make thier decision.

2. I was tipped off that this was a VW site by the header. I guess that is why I listed it under Non-VW related items, along with the rest of the non VW things.

3. I doubt very seriously that anyone that does not know why crankwalk was a problem for DSM's had a 10 sec anything. But maybe I'm wrong. How many APC stickers does it take to go that fast anyway ?

4. If you are in fact concerned with the protection of the Beetle community, then do them a favor and keep retard posts like this to yourself. Nobody cares about your personal tastes. And it is using space that could be serving a purpose.

Finally, I appologize to anyone else who might now be dumber for having read this "for sale" post turned crap. I only intended to sell a car, but who knew it would turn bad. I will answer any questions you may have, but please keep all personal opinoin comments to yourself. Once again, if you don't like it, you don't have to buy it.
