That's fine, Bill. I mean, yeah the car is European and all but what do they know. You do realize that the Golf has always had a 4-door variant, whereas the Beetle has not (aside from the coach-built models for the police) due to the fact the body lines wouldn't work a'tall. Just because you think sporty cars must be coupes doesn't mean it has to be as such. And my Golf GTI, which does have 4-doors incidentally, is just as much a Golf GTI as the 2-door version is, thanks.

So I take it you're also opposed to the entire Audi S line, BMW M group, Mercedes AMG, Jaguar XJR, Cadillac CTS-V, etc? I mean, sporty sedans! For those of use who want such a vehicle, we have that option.
