Hi - I'm new to the site and finally got some picks. I live in St. Louis (south side) with the wife and two kids (11 & 8).

Two weeks into my '07 NB and lovin' it!

I'm an old air-cooled guy ('72 standard/'71 super/'68 autostick/ '77 Bus/ '74 squareback) who swore he'd never own another water-cooled after an uber-miserable '85 Golf.

Well after my '99 GMC Safari (aka Toybox on wheels) shot craps a few weeks ago it was papa's turn for a new ride. I didn't set out look for a Dub but this one found me. When I went to Sinclair GMC for a new ride this baby was on the used car lot - by the time the test drive was two blocks from the lot I was sold and took it home that night.

Its a 2007 loaded w/ 18k miles. I gave $11.5K. I think I got a decent deal considering similar Dubs here in StL are going for 16-18K. Carfax is clean and its had only one owner before me.

Sweet. I love the 2.5l. Zoom.

I take back all the swearing from 1985.

Its good to be back home in a VW.
