In most cases the upgraded down-pipe will bolt in just like the stock piece, the only exception is usually at the point where the down-pipe connects to the catback, some modifications (tig welding) are normally required here.

The items that you will need are as follows:

1. Four new nuts (possibly studs) and a new gasket to connect the down-pipe to the turbo.
2. Anti-seize for the oxygen sensor threads (don't get it on the sensor probe areas) and the down-pipe to turbo studs unless you are using self locking copper nuts.

With a performance 3" down-pipe/cat assembly on this car, the chances are very high that your secondary oxygen sensor will cause a (CEL) and a P0420 code to constantly appear, but, there is a sanitary fix for this that usually works.

You will likely see some better response with the stock turbo under heavier boost in upper gears, however, the larger pipe may cost you some low end power with the stock turbo, stock or near stock setup but it won't hurt anything.

If you don't mind, can you tell us which brand pipe kit you chose?
