I got an email (I had signed up on the mailing list). Basically, you just schedule an appointment with your nearest dealer (1.5 hours away for me), and they inspect it to see if the body is cracking where the subframe mounts to. If it is, they weld in a reinforcement panel and put the subframe back in. It's a silent recall,
AFAIK. E46 owners have until Sept 9, 2010 to have it inspected.
