Well I got the cylinder head off yesterday, and all four cylinders have valve strikes. I did have one surprise, I thought that the 2000 APH was a 16 valve and Cowboys' is actually a 20 valve.
I did not like the first set of DIY photos, so I took some more today and those where better; so as soon as I get them annotated I'll post them.
There was a moment yesterday when I realized the head was not going to come off and my neighbor pointed out that I missed a bolt. I do not have a pic of it, but on CCH DIY 015 it is just to the underside of the intake opposite of #1.
