Lieveling = darling? I kinda figured something like that. I watched the YouTube cut a couple of times. Big mistake. Its one of those tunes that can stick in our head and you can't get it out. It was rattling around in my head the rest of the evening.  But I was watching the video 'cause the blonde was ...well.....very alluring. Beautiful smile beautiful eyes......

Oops, my mistake
Popular music over here is the same as what you hear on the radio. Or at least, almost the same, we don't have the country scene over here. Dutch singing artist are a great minority as their music is mostly not the popular style, usually more chanson style. There's one young guy JIM who sings more modern, but this song is actually of Spanish origin .
Same goes for Jeroen van der Boom. The tunes I know from a Spanish singer.
This type of Dutch songs appeal to me
If you take a look at my iTunes library you'll find a range of styles. From 60's to rock.
