It looks like you ignition switch has gone out. It happened to Cup, my new beetle. If you check your fan, it should be out too. You should have use of your bright light if you continue to have it in the flash position.
The ignition switch is in the steering wheel column and is a relatively easy fix. There's several threads here on the org about it. Much success to you and your fix. Keep us posted on what happens.
