It's ironic that the NB as we know it is on its way out. As of March 1, New Beetle sales in the US are UP 89% over this same time in 2009! Announcement of its discontinuation may have had real enthusiasts flock to dealers to get the last models, I suppose. Or sales could drastically tank later on this year....But wouldn't it be something if VW ended up at an 80-90% increase in NB sales for the whole of 2010? Perhaps they would change their minds about dropping the model!
