Ok, yes the headlight buckets do come out the front and they're very easy to modify with a good pair of tin snips.
Anyway thanks to a buddy of mine (who kicks ass at wiring) we got the headlights to fire tonight. The highbeams and lowbeams work and the leveling works. So yeah OEM bixenons are possible with a cheapie HID kit and a $30 wiring harness from TheRetrofit Source.
