Timing belt change? Prices vary by region, but a decent ballpark is $800 or so. It is definitely something you can do yourself if you can read/follow instructions and can turn wrenches. Make sure you get a complete timing belt kit
with a metal impeller water pump and new stretch bolts for the motor mount. If you take it somewhere, make sure these items are replaced. If you do it yourself, a Bentley manual would also be an excellent investment if you are going to be doing your own work.
