Seriously. Why do manufacturers constantly try and make vehicles something they were never intending to be? My guess is probably the car magazines. They're always giving a car a bad right up if it doesn't fit what they'd like to see.
SO many articles about cute utes they rip on because they don't have a V6, or three rows of seats. Who is buying a SMALL SUV and expecting 3 rows of seats? And those can easily handle a 4 cylinder! Heck, even Toyota went back to putting a 4 cylinder in the 5th gen 4Runner that just came out!
The NB isn't supposed to be a family car. Never was. That's like adding a backseat to a 370z.
