To my knowledge, there is no " OEM factory repair" of the CD units and that they were considered disposable. I believe the dealerships just replaced them and trashed to bad ones. You could ask a dealership if they had a place to return the bad units to.
Is there a Manufacturers name on the sticker of the unit? You could try and track down an aftermarket repair facility that handles that brand.
