It took a couple of hours between my friend and I. I bought a plug n' play kit that didn't require any butchering of the factory harness, 35W 6000K bulbs (I would go with the oem 4300K next time as the light is a bit on the blue side of the spectrum and that tends to decrease the visibility of the beam at night. There was a small amount of drilling required for the bulb-assembly at the rear of the headlight unit. I still have normal high-beams, but I picked up some Sylvania Silverstar Ultra's as they are the whitest conventional bulbs you can get. Also I had to disable my DRL's to avoid hot-strikes of the HID bulbs.

I did get my lights aimed professionally after at my mechanic's just to make sure, but the beam doesn't go above anyone's trunk so there is no chance of blinding oncoming traffic like those people that have "naked" HID bulbs shining all the way to the moon

This summer if budget allows I'm going to redo them with the proper Bosch D2S E46 single xenon projectors and make a relay harness for the system. I'm not completely happy with the focus of the halogen projectors.

Check out HIDs? maybe? for some pics of where I mounted the ballasts.
