You'd be surprised that many cars beside our beetles are easy to make cute. Granted the happy nature of the beetle supports your statement, but i see many a pickup truck, jeep, mustang, mini, you get the picture, accessorized and cutesy looking.
I'm amazed at dudes who look at Cup and say, something to the effect of "Dude i'd own a bug if it looked like that". Or something to the effect of how my bug totally changed their perception of a beetle. It's the gender of the driver that determines if it's a chick car/dude car, not the car determining the gender of it's make.
To answer your question, it's about 50/50. in the early years of the nB's exsistance, it was mostly women, now the percentages are about even.
bottom line, drive what you like. If we live to please everybody, we'll never please ourselves.
