I always unlatch the top but not open, slide in a large piece of plastic drop cloth (8'x10'), slide all the way back to rear window and drape over windshield, latch top and roll up windows with key then spray. I sometimes cover the rear window with newspaper or plastic. Also, cover the area at rear with plastic taped to the chrome trim to cover the trunk/fender area.
