You really don't have to wait for brake work. I've done the quick and easy myself on an nB or two. Bought the color caliper paint I wanted (or other high temp paint will suffice). Then sprayed it into an old tupperware or coolwhip container and used a model brush and brushed it on. Probably took 20 minutes per caliper at most and the finish looked as good as if you'd disassembled everything and sprayed it on.
