We’re looking to get a code reader for our 2001 1.8t.
I’ve been reading on here about several brands such a VAG COM and V checker.
I want to get a good reader but I’d like to be able to reset my ECU without having to go to the dealer to have it reset.
I’ve read threads here on how to do this but I’m having trouble finding them again.

So I guess my question is, what be a good brand and I know most makers offer several models so what would be a good model?

I don’t want to spend more than I have to but don’t want to go out and buy one only to find out it won’t do what I need it to.
