Not sure if the road they took was the attached. The section of road known as "Moonshiner 28" runs from Walhalla, SC to just below Bryson City, NC. Needless to say it gets its nickname from a lot of heritage and is pretty famous in its own right around here. Feeds right into "The Dragon" from the south. Some folks prefer it to the Dragon here in Upstate SC.
