My 04 TDI has the same problem. It's scrambled as I climb in and it unscrambles once the door closes. Since the car runs fine otherwise I decided it wasn't worth the hassle of taking it to the dealership.
I'll try and get a picure of mine. It'd be interesting to see if they're the same. Pieced together maybe is spells out the locaton of hidden treasure or something LOL.
