Default NSU TTS Hot Rod

Our late son owned the predecessor to the TT. He owned a 1967 NSU TTS rally car. It was one of 2500 that NSU built for the serious rally drivers. He found it in 2001, 5 miles from our house. The amazing part was that it had NEVER been driven in the winter and had no rust. For a European car of that vintage that was a miracle.

NSU was one of the firms that merged into Audi. They made up the performance arm of AUDI.

Here is a link to a Swiss web site with great music that will teach you about the NSU TTS. It was a formidable car in its day.

This site is from one of the top tuners for TTSs in the Fatherland. Another good one to visit.

I was able to find another collector, as unique as our son, who bought the car and now campaigns it in vintage race circles.
Here is a photo of David with his baby the day we dragged it home. We got it running after some work. It has 2 Solex 40PHH Sidedraft carbs on a 1000-cc air cooled rear engine. I was also able to find a better picture of dave with the car.

Here is the better photo of engine after we got it running. The air cleaner assembly is really sought after in the Fatherland, where these cars are really enjoyed.

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.
