Cool

Having had two squarebacks, I would suspect a discharged battery. Give that baby a strong jump!!!

only one squareback in my history, and it ate batteries if it had to sit any length of time.

By not turn over, do you mean not turn AT ALL, or turn but not start?

Not turn at all: battery (or possibly starter or regulator)
Turn no start: check fuel.. either bad fuel or no delivery.

Mosty I would suspect discharged battery. I had an old bug that sat
for long periods of time towards the end there, and it ate bateries
during that time.

My brother had a '73 Bug that sat for a long time. He said it wouldn't start, and I thought he meant dead battery. When I was visiting him, though, I found his keys and gave it a try. All I had to do was crank it for like 20 seconds 3 or 4 times. Maybe it was just gunked up? But once I got it going it was going strong!

Best of luck, and we want pics!!!!!

like mentioned above make sure it has a fresh battery , Also see if the engine will turn over by hand , if not shoot some penetrating (sp?) oil in the cylinders let it soak couple days then try .
