My 1967 VW Kit Car :)
Well, imagine my surprise on browsing through some old photos.
I found a picture of me behind the wheel of a 1967 VW I owned.  Around 1980-81 I took a hacksaw to the body and cut it across the top from the b-pillars, and down the rear window frames, and removed all that sheet metal and rear window. I then put on the fiberglass cap as you see it , although the paint job you see is from later, the cap was white on installation and the bug was green.

If parents would spend less time worrying about what their kids watch on TV and more time worrying about what's going on in their kids' lives, this world would be a much better place.

My (future) father-in-law referred to it as a Japanese Hearse.
