I wanted to make the thread title "Jeff Gordon is a P.O.S.", but I decided against it. Not only did Gordon wreck Matt while he was in the lead, but then he somehow found enough courage in his sissie little body to say that he didn't mean to. Give me a break! And I'm so glad that people threw trash at him while he did his victory lap. Not very classy, but I'm glad they did it. (See, rednecks can really serve a purpose!)

I'm not a Gordon fan anymore either, as he has a propensity to whine, but turn about fair play, as Kenseth did just the same to Gordon at Bristol earlier this year. In the end, it didn't matter, as Kenseth ran out off gas and was better off having the yellow flag created by his incident with Gordon to get fuel without going a lap down. As you could also see, he seemed to slow in the corner as Gordon came up from behind. This move has been used many a time. As far as the fans throwing stuff, I find that totally classless and unacceptable, no matter the circumstances. Booing would be perfectly legit to voice their opinions, but never throwing ojects. *thumbs down motion*

Good points, Larry. But Gordon could have VERY easily given Matt that turn and passed him shortly after because it was evident that Jeff was much faster. And as for Matt's gas, I don't think he would've made it either.

remember that an eye for an eye is still considered an acceptable form of getting even .... [edit] in the south. I still think it was crappy tho.

Matt is the biggest whiner of them all, rivalling Stewart for "woe is me". What goes around comes around, baby, don't you forget it

You can't consider it whining when someone wrecks you when they could have VERY easily have avoided it. Jeff is getting a very bad reputation about being a stuck up punk these days (aside from he constant gay jokes) and don't even get me started on Tony (GREAT driver; horrible personality). Matt has NEVER been the guy to instigate any of this crap.

Matt started it in Bristol, Jeff finished it in Chicago. Case closed. And Jeff and the gay thing is as old as the Rod Stewart/Elton John thing... people always pick on the Best. 76 wins, 4 championships... but let his stats speak for themselves http://www.gordonline.com/stats.html
