Question best stock car for autocross?

I know this is a forum for all our cute little beetles, but I thought I'd stray from them a bit and ask what everyone thinks is the best stock car for autocross. It doesn't necessarily have to be the best handling or the lightest car, but what car do you think is best suited for its class and most likely to win national events with a good driver behind the wheel? I know I can just look at national results and pick out all the popular cars that are winning, but I really wanted to know what everyone else would drive if they could pick anything.

So... what's the best stock car in your opinion?

MINI Cooper, MINI Cooper S, Pontiac Solstus GXP, Lotus Elan, Mitsubishi EVO VIII, BMW 325i.

These are the top "stock" cars for Autocrossing right now. Just need some DOT slicks and with a good driver, they can book their trip to nationals.

Miatas, too, but that class is going to be very competitive.

Lotus Exige should be pretty good.

I love the Atom, but it isn't a stock class car.
