Thumbs up Studbug Thread

We have many many races planned for this year, so I figured Studbug needed his own thread.

Last saturday we had our second rallycross of the season (results and pictures from the first are in a different thread). Me, my dad, and my boyfriend drove while my mom took lots and lots of pictures. It stayed dry until the end of the day when the thunderstorms rolled in. The dry was faster but the wet was way more fun! Results will be posted whenever the website administrators feel like posting them.

Enjoy.

There's no apostrophe before an 's' when you're talking about the plural version of a word. "I took some neat photo's!" is NOT correct.

I'm beyond the moon, that StudBug is still on the road and racing!

I have been told that I am his biggest fan..... He even visited our house in Portland with his friends Mad Mike, Kenny Bartram, and Dennis Hodson!

Thank you for keeping StudBug going.

Here are some bug action photos from the 12/06 rallyx. The ground was rock solid and icy, and we chose the wrong tires for the first half of the day. Once we switched back to snows, he was a world better. Unfortunately we still couldn't keep up with the awd subies, but we had fun nonetheless. Next up - conquering TSD rallies with my codriver.
Enjoy.

The 2009 FLR winter road rally series is well underway, and so far we're doing well and leading our class. The car is handling things like a champ, of course. One of my fellow drivers, Mike Kamm, did a quick writeup about the last event for the AMEC forum [warning: studbug content]. Its nice to know that other motorsports enthusiasts know about his past. Coincidentally, the rally was called Herbie's Revenge.

I don't have many pictures, since the rallies are at night, but here's one of my codriver messing around at the car wash.

Enjoy.

Well the first half of the 09 FLR Rallyx season came in went in a week full of mud and grease. The bug almost finished the first event in one piece, until one of the last runs when one of the CV joints exploded. Despite people saying that it would buff right out *rolls eyes*, the car was flatbedded home and fixed. The car ended up at the Rochester Auto Show today instead of at the rallycross, which was probably a good idea. The event started out well, but quickly turned into a delicious mudfest. Luckily for me, I got to pilot a friend's awd subie and had a blast. It wasn't so much fun for the fwd cars however.

Here are some pics from the first rallyx. Since this is a bug forum, I'll spare the subaru love pics.

Next weekend we'll be in Ithaca for the last road rally of the series. We're in a heated battle with one of the other teams to see who takes the class, so it should be interesting!

You know you're having way too much fun when it starts raining chunks of mud...

Oh, and I heard that someone from this board stopped by the auto show to check out the bug. If you see this and want to PM me about autox or whatever, feel free.

Enjoy.

Edit - heres a pic from the car show, missing the proper rally car dirt though.
