I'll be the first to say that I partake in any and all "dirty" talking in chat; and I'm not pointing fingers.
That being said, sometimes it's hard for people to come into chat and ask technical questions. I think it may be an idea to shoot around that there should be two chat rooms. One dedicated to technical discussion and one for the rest of us idiots. It wouldn't be hard at all for people who know a lot of technical stuff (like Tom and JC to name a couple) to have the second chat room open but minimized so that when someone needs urgent help they can get it.
Maybe it doesn't even have to be an "official" .Org chat room. Maybe one of us can run it or something. I dunno.
Just an idea.
:rotfl::lol::roflmao:
That's funny.
:rotfl::lol::roflmao:
That chat room would be sooo dead.
:rotfl::lol::roflmao:
Just look at these little smileys.
:rotfl::lol::roflmao:
They're all laughing at you.
:rotfl::lol::roflmao:
Okay, seriously, it's a good idea, but if someone does need technical help, if someone who's around thwat knows thier stuff, they will try to help all they can.

Like right now, someone is asking technical help and JC and Tom are doing a great job... but then I don't want to interupt them... when we were on a different topic before the quesiton was posed.
I just dont know which mods would want to hang out in there for live help...
We might want to try it... but then again, the forums might be the best bet because not all techincal helpers on org, use chat.
good thought though scott.

I've never been in chat...insert long personal story here...but I have heard it can be quite interesting. My worry would be someone looking for technical help might "wander" into the middle of a typical chat room session and get the wrong idea about the org, and think there is no help to be found??? I dunno...it is a good point that who is going to want to sit and wait for a question...the forums are the best bet for advice, I agree. Maybe the chat room should be marked as usually off topic discussion???
Yeah, and usually has 18+ content.

I'm all for it. I'm around from 5pm-2am most nights, so if someone needs my help they can either hit me up there or can get my phone number somewhere off the org.
