Has anyone with the 06' beetle had any trouble with the windows rolling up slow? When I hit around 9000 miles on mine the drivers side window just doesn't seem to go up like it should. I will have the dealer look at it since it is under warrantee, but thought I'd ask here before I call them. Thanks in advance for any input on this.

My back passenger side window was doing pretty much the same. I took it back the dealer adjusted it, so far so good.

The only "problem" I've had with the windows is that they make a lot of noise winding up when they are wet. I'm taking it in for its first oil change and will have them check on it then. Also, the passenger window looks to be scratched in a horizontal line, but higher than where it rolls down for the door opening action. I'm washing it this weekend, so I'll see if it wipes off, but it looks scratched from wear - at 4300 miles!

I go in tomorrow for a second attempt to make the drivers side front and rear windows touch closer/tighter. I have an air gap near the top, where they meet. Noisy and blowing snow will be here sooner than later:mad: The dealer said he adjusted it as much as he could last time.....Too bad, say I, its just not right!!!! Time to order a new window thats curved correctly?????Time will tell

Although I dont have a vert, both of my windows were going up and down slower and slower and making a pretty loud motor noise. I took it to the dealer and reminded them of the 12month/12k "do whatever I say" warranty and they quickly replaced both window motors and regulators with "updated" ones. Very fast and quiet ever since....I also made them replace the glove box door since it was a little too loose for my taste.

We have 2 beetles. The 2001 had a window go down with a slam and stay there. We feared it was broken inside the door (it wasn't). Beetle was still under certified pre owned, so they replaced some plastic part that lifts the window with a metal one. Dealer said it was a known flaw, and they actually extended the warranty on this item beyond the usual warranty. (Sorry, I did not process the details, as it did not apply to my car!)

My wifes 05 Vert is in the shop waiting on the drivers rear window mechanism. It has been 5 days now and we have a puetrid 06 Ford Focus rental car it is "vomit green" in color all my neighbors laugh at it ! My dealer says the part was wore out ???? only 17,000 on the dial.
My son (10) says " dad lets just go that Carerra GT in Bossier City " -- smart kid with no reasoning of money.

Dealer made the window alignment worse. Now, you can see daylight along the entire rubber seal that ajoins the front and rear drivers side windows. Last I knew, they were calling VW for more options... I mean, how hard could it be to make the windows touch and seal????? Trip #3 to the dealer takes place this Thursday. Again, time will tell:confused: :(
