This would be my second attempt to get as together for a coffee and chat. Spring is here ( doesn't look like but it is ) and if you are in the mood, please put your self on the list and suggest a date, time and place for meet up.

Yeah, it's time for Toronto bugs to have it's own GTG. Nothing special, no fancy orchestra playing or beauty contest, no first place winers, no free gifts. Just chillin' over a coffee and showing off.

I've been to two GTG's in Toronto. !st one had exactly two people show up, me and the guy who drove from Windsor. 2nd had four of us.

Time we all start tagging cars to get them more involved!

Let's get some more designs over the weekend people ( I'll do something too :) and we can print them and start spreading the word. I like your design MIG. I think that there should be a blank area where we can write down place and time of the GTG, or some other msg. and of course.... don't forget to promote newbeetle.org :)
Just to make sure this tag thing is effective, I would like to propose an idea :) For the first official 2008 Toronto New Beetle GTG we will go without tags, just us here, but... bring your ideas printed on June 3rd GTG so we can discuss them, and then, we will have another 30 days to infect the city with tags and the effects will be visible ( I hope ) on the next GTG. If not... well...at least we can say we did gave it a shoot.

Last weekend I wanted to smash the computer that I was trying to install the Bentley manual on, but then in the wee hours of last night, everything worked all of sudden, and now it's up and running :clap: I sure am happy the computer's unsmashed ;) :o
I got time after work tomorrow, just in case you guys need some moral support :curtsey:
I'm also a good tool gopher, and have small hands (that comes in pretty useful, working on a NB) :D

I am working crazy hours, no time for computer.
I do not have the parts, neither the confidence to go to the VW stealer again.

Also, it feels like my MAF is acting up. My rear speaker is fried.
It seems that I have to spend a lots of money on a car I barely use.

If, Tesla, or anyone else is around, I might be able to hook up on Saturday, or Sunday.

Saturday is fine. Hope the weather will work for us. May be I can help with the MAF. Mine used to act weird and I sprayed it with some electronic cleaner long time ago. Work'd like a charm. I think I still have some left, enough for 2 - 3 cleanings :rolleyes: .

So the deal is 11AM Saturday. If anyone else is interested, send mi a private massage for more details. I have Levy and me confirmed, and may be MiG will join us with his (music creshendo) new P-Flow :thewave: ... that we just installed an hour ago :), and we fixed my throttle lag that happened to me this afternoon. It was K&N filter dirty up to the elbows. Now it's all cleaned and oiled and "professionally" installed.

I love the way it's swooshing, lil bit too much for my taste but it sounds like turbo now. What I noticed is that you have smoother acceleration through out the band and RPM-s are droping down faster ( while swooshing loudly ). Well, BUG-VADER has been MODED now and I am glad I took a part in that. Thanks MiG for leting me help you, it was my pleasure. Luv Bugs new name!

I was so happy to meet ERICWC. The old, New Beetle. '98 with over 300000 kliks on it !!! Get out of town!! Man, that car is a mule!! It's nice to know our Bugs can go that far and still look better then any other car. ERICWC need a cleaning ( he he he ) and lubrication but it's a Bug to be proud of!

Hi Torontonians and folks from beautiful Ontario Canada :D
It's that time of the month when we decide where and when we will meet up again for coffe, Beetle show off and chat, but this time we plan to raise this event to a bit higher level . We will include a road trip to some exotic or not so exotic but interesting place for some photo shooting, possible BBQ and a drive in movie :dance2: . I guess it should be weekend and, yes, bring your familly and friends, pets and cameras ( memory cards too :) ).
Here are the weekends, let's pick one day and have fun :thewave:

How about some road trip suggestions? I know there is a nice road between 400 and highway 50 and it goes through farms and up and down the hills :) Maybe a picnic near some lake. Hi Ontario Buggers. I am so glad to see so many of you showing interest in meet up :) Oh well, we all understand, september is the hardest of them all, next to december :) I am afraid I won't be able to see you guys this month unless you are willing to have a day trip with me to Kingston for a boat cruise and possible extension of the trip to Montreal with one night staying at hotel. That might happened on weekend 27/28, and next weekend (20/21) I plan on going to Muskoka for a day trip on Sunday, again some boat cruising or just hiking.
Fall is coming and colors are going to be magnifikant so I wanna ride the Speedle and enjoy in my color blindness.

Well, last weekend we went to Haliburton for some ATV (http://backcountrytours.ca/atv.php)-ing and we had a blast ( nuclear one :) ). It was 330 kliks north/east and we drove side roads. If you guys are interested, we might do the same thing this Sunday ( 28th ), only somewhere closer to Toronto. I know there is Sunoco in Gravenhurst but have no idea where you can rent an ATVs and trail close to HWY 400.
PM me if interested or have other ideas to kill that Sunday.

The most direct way is straight up the 400. I work downtown, so anywhere away from the core is fine by me. Somewhere along the 401 before the 400 would be a good place. It might be a good idea to grab a bite before we start the trek so how about Katz's Deli on Dufferin St. between St. Clair and Eglinton. They have a BIG parking lot and the food is good-I can attest. It's not too far away from the 401 although traffic will be bad no matter where we meet up around that time.
