I just bought a 2000 NB 1.8T. The owners mentioned that the engine was a new/used engine.
The injectors were replaced the day before the transaction took place. The CEL came on the day after. I took it back to the mechanic (twice now) and he said he has a persistent rich engine code. He also said he could not do anymore with the equipment he has.
He mentioned taking it to the dealer to look at the codes etc but it sounded to me like they would reset the computer or recalibrate or something like that.
Does this sound like an issue I need to worry about or is this a quick fix?
