Hey guys, after much agaonizing and sleeplessness, I have decided to sell Doodlebug. The main reason is the difficulty I am having driving her with my neck/back problem.
1973 Super Beetle
Sunflower Yellow
Fully Body off restoration in May, 2007
Pans replaced.
Engine rebuild
New Exhaust system
New Clutch in June, 2008
Marathon Wheels
Newly padded seats
New unholstery
Nearly new tires
New JVC Stero System
Brand new/never used Bra
She does use a little oil, but I think they all do, not excessively.
Price 5900. Firm
PM or Email me is fine.
Pics to follow...
PS Jonk from here on the Org has driven Doodlebug a few times and he can tell you what a solid Bug this is. I also have a cd/dvd showing all the new wiring/detailed replacement parts and I have all the papers showing the Clutch replacement.

You know, I hadn't even thought of this but if anyone is remotely interested in my Super Beetle and you own a New Beetle, I would be very open to discuss a trade option? :)

Oh how I wish I had the money. Dang it.
This always happens, right? A great Bug goes on sale when you are not ready to put out a lot of cash...

Scott,
I'm sad to hear that this OB isn't working out for you. Hopefully you will land on something that does before you go thru too many more VWs.:) Good luck with the sale!

aint he cute ,, 98 213k miles on the body , 57 k on the engine (growlers old engine from eeyore ), 100 k on trans just installed a few weeks ago from a 2000 jetta ,
2.0 5 speed ,, a/c doesnt work drivers side door lock wont lock except with the key (micro switch in door lock mech)
aftermarket radio w/single cd player in it windshield has a nice crack in it .otherwise , make a great driver
hes my work car for this winter been diving him since i replaced the tranny , but with no a/c ,,he stays home on these 90plus days , but herbie would understand if i kept him as my daily driver and got rid of buckwheat in favor of an air cooled beetle brother
never had a super ,, never really liked them , something about not having a front beam ,,just seemed to sophisticated for me ,,lol

Hey, you can do what you want, but that sounds like a great swap, if that is what it is.

Thanks Jerry! It is true to be able to see what is under the paint. This guy is amazing! He has restored several and is on an older one now. He just finished a beautiful red convertabile.

I've got pics and specifics regarding my 98 in it's photo thread. Check it out and PM me. I'd really prefer a pre 67 air pumper but you have a nicely done car.
