Congrats!

1. I like it cuz I can sit loooooooooooooooooow...:D
2. You can fit 8 paper bags of groceries in the trunk and I've seen a post where an entire adult fit, it's only the opening that's small...;)

Right on! Congratulations!!

No room in the trunk? Hmmmm. We make Costco runs in our 'vert. There's always the back seat, too!

Day 2. Looks AWESOME in the day... gonna take some pictures somewhere nice this afternoon on the way home...gotta take advantage of that nice wax job VW did...can see yourself in it...hopefully I can maintain that shine!

Yeah cant wait to take the top down...which could be a few months here in Toronto...

Thanks for all the congrats...

Soon I'll be installing the CAR PC in the trunk and wiring it to a 7" touchscreen on top of or under the dash for GPS!

(By the way thats my only complaint about the dash configuration is no digital or analog compass...s'ok for local driving but when Im in lets say Nashville I'd like to know which way is up...lol

Cheers

Just put the top down. :) That usually helps me figure out which way is up ;)

I see lots of NB's and NBC's in Toronto, but very few on the org. So, great to meet you! :clap:After the first snow storm of the year I also decided to get snow tires, especially since my tires are 3-season, not 4. It also makes a huge difference where in Toronto you live/drive. Downtown there's not much snow and it's removed pretty fast. But anywhere outside the 416 area code gets rougher.
Don't forget to wave at other NB and NBC owners

Did you get the ones from VW with the matching rims? I'm considering some canadian tire specials, but they are sooo ugly...lol

Already noticed my red plastic cover for my rear break light (on the tiny trunk) is loose. My car was in the showroom and had 70 or so km on it...im sure the trunk was demo'd many times... It doesnt even close properly unless you slam it with your palm on the VW symbol, though i did read that this issue is with all the 2006 verts...

Maybe we should all get together and email them...if they get enough they may fix the prob.

Cheers

I'll go with VW hubcaps over non-VW snow tires. Knowing the stealership they price their snow tires like they're studded with diamonds. The Canadian Tire ones will work a treat, and look good with the hubcaps too.

I just picked up my 2006 Harvest Moon last week and the trunk is a bit of pain to close. I have found you have to use above average force to close it. Looking in it I think the gas strut maybe a bit strong which makes it tougher to close. Otherwise I love my new vert, the only problem with mine was a bad passenger side speaker which I am waiting to come in for replacement.

Congrats on the NBC!!! You can get a lot in the trunk...like someone else said, it is all in getting it through the opening! ;)

I have learned to do this when closing my trunk. I make a fist with my right hand (I'm right-handed) and place my fist (little finger side) on the lid at the lowest edge and follow thru with force until lid closes. The lower edge is a strong point and little chance of denting there.

:bigthumb: on your new purchase. For those of you having trunk/deck problems there was a how-to not too long ago wrt a misaligned latch (and how to adjust it).
