Thanks heaps!
We're doing ok with the XE, we've got 6 trophies for it since May 05. Street Ford Magazine are doing a story on it in their February issue.
Poor old supra has only got a trophy for grass events at our show, its my husbands every day car. We going to give it lambo doors, a V8 lexus engine and respray this year.

Ford looks like a cross between an Escort and a Futura/Fairlane. Cool!

My husband used to have an escort. Here's a pic of what the new Falcons look like. This is last years BA model. Every second car on the road over here is usually a Falcon or a Holden Commodore

Falcons are pretty large cars, far bigger than an Escort. I believe the Ford Laser / Mazda 323 shared platform was called the Escort in the USA. Futura / Fairlanes (have been or) are model names of the Falcon line (as are LTD and Fairmont).
If you want to see what the Falcon looks like now, check this out:
Falcon / Fairmont

The Falcon is about the same size interior wise as a Crown Victoria, but has a bigger trunk and is a bit smaller on the outside due to ... well, modern body construction and decent packaging. It's still rear wheel drive (with all that entails for newbie drivers), but you can get a SUV version with four wheel drive if that takes your fancy.
Fairlane / LTD (= LWB falcons)

The Fairlane / LTD is bigger than a Crown Victoria in all directions, as is the SUV version, the Ford Territory:

ps. Extremely nice work on the XE! How long did it take you to get it that way? I shudder to think how much cash you must have plowed into it.

Thank you, most of the work isn't ours though :p Sorry for not replying earlier! We purchased the car just over a year ago almost complete, we've added the tunnel ram and bug catcher and a few other mods and upgrades. I think it took the bloke who built it about 2.5 years.

Lol. Gotta love an old square muscle car! My fave Aussie car would have to be the Interceptor from Mad Max!
The funny thing about cars in Australia is the Ford Vs Holden war that is as much to do with our country as kangaroos or meat pies. If you are a true blue Aussie you must declare which side your on. You are either a Ford guy/gal or a Holden guy/gal even if you own a Toyota :p
